The Vale Golf & Country Club

CONDITIONS & COURSE REPORT, 13th November 2019.

In the last seven and a half weeks we have seen 233mm of rain which has left both courses rather wet.  However the greens continue to be in a fantastic condition. Due to these unprecedented levels of rainfall we have seen in recent weeks we shall have to remove the use of trolleys on the Lenches.  This is to preserve the quality of the course and allow any already damaged areas to recover.

We are pleased to say that all of the greens have been hand mowed this morning and they look wonderful.  Whilst we continue to receive these levels of rainfall teeing areas have been moved on several holes, this will shorten the playing length to avoid the extremely wet areas.  For example a Par 4 becomes a Par 3 and so on, if you would like further info on the specific holes this effects please contact the pro shop on 01386 462520.

As part of our winter maintenance we have stripped the surfaces of both the 5th and 16th Yellow Tees.  Our next step is to level them followed by re-turfing them.

The Course Status is updated daily throughout the winter on our homepage.
